The Weeknd- Kiss Land (The Weeknd at his finest)
This week’s restaurant review is for one of my favorite places to dine in D.C. SEI located at 444 7th Street NW provides Asian Fusion at its finest. I’ve been there plenty of times, and can’t stop going back. The food is consistently satisfying and SEI places great emphasis on both fresh and extraordinary ingredients. SEI provides a unique culinary experience, while balancing flavors that aren’t so foreign to the palette that they may not be recognizable. For starters I would try the seaweed salad or the Dengaku Eggplant. The Kobe Beef Sliders are amazing as are Korean Kalbe Tacos. As far as sushi goes, SEI provides an assortment of sushi that can’t be beat. My personal favorite are the fish and chips sushi, and I promise you’ll love them as well. Overall I would give my experiences at SEI an 8/10. I’ve linked the picture to opentable so you can make reservations soon!

It’s 2013 and unfortunately many men out there still finding it difficult to find a suit that doesn’t make them look like their dressing from the early 2000’s. A few years ago finding a proper fitting suit, without breaking the bank, was quite the challenge. Fortunately today men should find it much easier to find a suit that fits them well and gives them both a sleek and modern appearance, all within a modest budget. So what are the main factors in deciding which suit one should buy? Most important is that the suit must fit right. No more suits that hang off the shoulders or lengthy jackets that go past your ass gentlemen! GQ states, “A good suit should hug your shoulders, not slouch off them. Most guys think they’re a size larger than they are—say, a 42 regular instead of a 40. When buying a suit, go ahead and try sizing down. When you pull on the jacket, there should be a firmness to it. You should snap to attention and stand taller. If it doesn’t fit right in the shoulders, don’t buy it.” Your suit sleeves should end just above the hinges of your wrists, so a quarter to half inch of shirt cuff shows. It’s like the frame on a painting—the elegant finishing touch. Further GQ says and I agree, “We like flat-front pants, cut slim, with very little break at the ankle. This produces a long, clean look. Your pants should just clip the tops of your shoes, not bunch up over them.” We would all love a bespoke custom tailored fit suit, but being a broke law student, I am not in the position to enjoy those luxuries yet. You’ll never go wrong wearing at two-button suit with a fairly narrow lapel. It’s both classic and completely modern. Fortunately stores like Zara, J Crew, Club Monaco, and SuitSupply (a little more costly) can give you the suit of your dreams within your budget. Remember to add a nice pocket square and tie-clip to complete the look. A little goes a long way! Remember to check out the suit suppliers mentioned to find the perfect suit for the season.
